Sod gives you an instant lawn and faster results than seeding. It’s fully grown grass laid over prepared soil, so you get a thick, even finish right away and it’s much less likely to wash out, blow away, or grow in patchy like seed can. It also helps reduce mud and erosion while it establishes. That said, sod still needs proper prep and consistent watering for the first couple weeks to root in and thrive.

We do not provide any warranty for SOD unless it is an issue with it when it comes from the supplier.

Sod installation costs depend on square footage and factors like site prep (grading/leveling), topsoil needs, removing old turf, and backyard access (e.g., gates or carrying distance). We’ll measure your space and give you a clear quote with a start date!

SOD begins to root in 10-14 days, during this time we recommend either staying off or very minimal use of your lawn just to ensure everything roots correctly. After if everything is rooting fine you can begin using your lawn more.

Right after installation, sod needs consistent moisture so it can root. Typically, you’ll water daily (sometimes more during hot/windy weather) for the first 1–2 weeks, then gradually reduce frequency as roots establish. We leave a care guide with a simple watering plan based on your conditions.

You can mow your new sod for the first time once it’s rooted and the grass reaches mowing height, usually around 2–3 weeks. A quick test: if the sod doesn’t lift easily at the corners and the ground feels firm, it’s ready! Start with a light cut and avoid trimming it too short.

For a new yard install, we build the “hardscape” and structure first, then finish with sod. That usually means installing things like planters, edging, rock/mulch beds, and any pathways or borders before we do final grading. Once those are set, we grade and level the yard, add/top up soil as needed, and prep the base so water drains properly. Sod is installed last so it stays clean, doesn’t get damaged by equipment, and the final grade looks smooth and finished.
